The President's Message for 2009

Welcome!
On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors and our business community, I wish to welcome you to our little Spa City!  Desert Hot Springs is nestled against the hills of Joshua Tree National Park and we overlook another desert landmark, Palm Springs.

We attract visitors from around the world who come here to experience the therapeutic effects of our most treasured natural resource, our healing mineral hot spring waters.  Our magnificent scenery and easy access to all the events and attractions in the other Desert Resort cities make visiting Desert Hot Springs a must for Coachella Valley tourists.

Our Award WInning Water and Destination Spas

This city is home to several internationally recognized and award-winning spas that use the world's finest natural hot mineral water aquifers, a derivative of the tectonic energy from the San Andreas Fault, which runs directly through town.  Desert Hot Springs also boasts internationally award-winning municipal drinking water, recognized in the top three in the world over the past decade.  

Pueblo Museum

Cabot Yerxa Pueblo Museum is located right inside the heart of the city.  Along with the museum, you will find a trading post stocked full of beautiful art, jewelry and desert keepsakes.  Tours of the Pueblo are conducted daily so it's best to call ahead for reservations.

Relocating to Desert Hot Springs

For those who are planning on relocating their families and/or their businesses to Desert Hot Springs, you will find small-town hospitality mixed with professional support through the Chamber and various city services.  The city is one of the most affordable to purchase a home in the Coachella Valley, and we are quickly becoming a commuting point for Los Angeles and Orange County residents looking for affordable housing and natural beauty.
